January 2010

Well a goal of mine for 2010 is to get all caught up on my scrapbooking and keep current on my blogging so I am going to try and include everything by month if I can. For one, it was our 1 year anniversary! We actually left Branson (for the 1st time overnight) and got a super nice hotel in Scottsdale. We started out the day with breakfast at a place where Diner's Drive-Ins and Dives (one of my very favorite shows) was taped, then we went to do a Candy Factory Tour in Phoenix (it sounds dumb when I tell people but it is something I have wanted to do forever now) and thanks to Forest he is always willing to do anything I want and I would totally recommend it because it is FREE and they include FREE SAMPLES! Then for lunch we stopped in at Red Robins for a yummy burger then ate at a Fancy restaurant Fogo de Chao in Scottsdale. It was a blast!
I also turned 27! For some reason I feel like this is an OLD birthday, I guess that I thought maybe I would've been close to being done having kids, not just starting but it was an excellent birthday thanks to having the best husband ever and awesome family and friends that helped me celebrate. I unfortunately don't have any pictures so I will have to post them at another time.
Branson turned 3 months old! Our little guy is the best. He has started to smile all the time and is even giggling out loud, especially when Forest makes him dance so I included some pictures of him.
I included some other pictures of just some of the things we have been up to.

OUR BRANSON BOY!
I just thought this one was so cute of him sleeping

My mom bought him this cute sweater with the ears! I love it and his Uncle Gary thinks it makes him look like a sheep.

Forest put his sweater on Branson

Branson is starting to sit up in his bumbo seat & you can get a little glimpse of his smile here

WILCOX
One Sunday we drove down to Wilcox for the day (my Ganny lived there and I spent a ton of time there when I was young) & stopped in at Stout's Cider Mill

Just outside Stout's Cider Mill was on old mine

COOKING TIME!
Well for those of you who don't know I absolutely LOVE to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen so Forest wanted to snap a shot of me where I am most of the time

Cooking Hamburgers

FAMILY HOME EVENING
So we have been really trying to make it a point to do something different for our family night so we decided to go BOWLING! I am not even going to lie, it runs in my blood and I am kind of good.

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Red Robin for lunch

Fogo de Chao
This was the fancy place we went for dinner - it was a Brazilian Charrasco place, we went to eat at one in Vegas and it was a lot better in Vegas than this one but it is a cool experience
CANDY TOUR
Here is the candy factory we went to

Forest with his "Bacon & Eggs" that they let us make at the factory (Pretzels, white chocolate & yellow M & M's)
This huge football was made of pure chocolate for the Super Bowl

OVER EASY
This was the place we went to eat for breakfast that was on Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives. I follow the show pretty religiously & we were excited but it was NOT GOOD unfortunately but a fun experience.

  1. Sounds like you had a really fun time for your anniversary! I can totally relate when you thought you would be done having kids by 27. I had my first baby at 29 and was finished by 33. You never know what life will throw at you! The cuties are totally wonderful whenever they come! Thanks for posting.
